A new Storm is brewing...

Having only recently joined the high ranks of "Crackberry Addict" status (or "Crackberry Nation" as I like to call it) I, like many, have been anxiously awaiting the launch of the newest BlackBerry cellular device: The Blackberry Storm 2.
While it will most likely not be too far removed from its touch/click predecessor (by carrying the same basic features and operating mechanisms) the 2nd Storm boasts some interesting new and improved features. In the leaked prototype photos it appears with a new sleeker, chicer and entirely button-less face. Thus far, the Storm 2 definitely looks like an upgrade. Some improved features include more memory, better camera resolution, and smoother overall operation (including the position sensory). The new Storm is also rumored to have a brand new feature, previously excluded: WiFi.
This svelte little piece of hand candy was expected (allegedly) to make its debut in early September (which has clearly passed) and is now reportedly due to finally appear no later than mid-October. (I keep hearing the date 10/14/09 being thrown around).
Truth be told, no one really seems to know for sure when the newest Crackberry addition will make its grand arrival. Speculated dates really can't be confirmed until the carrier (I.e. Verizon) or carriers officially commense thier marketing parades. Nevertheless, different sources insist on October as the launch month (as they did with September). Anyone want to put money on early November?
***Sidebar: By the way, your eyes did not deceive you; I did type carriers. That's right folks, the rumormill is in full swing and there is plenty of chatter afloat about AT&T also carrying this highly anticipated little cellular "Loch Ness". We shall see ...
Meanwhile, the rumors hardly stop there, while researching the lovely Storm 2, I encountered tales of a third edition (a trilogy; can you imagine?!) and even a whole new kind of Blackberry. Time will prove those rumors fact or fable, if proven fact you know where you'll read all about it. In the mean time, chew on this: there's a new kind of Storm brewing and I am SO ready. Are you?
